A bit about me...

In my career so far, I’ve had exposure to a variety of different disciplines and experiences, some requiring blue-sky, lateral thinking and others needing a more scientific, methodical approach. Different approaches to solve different problems. 

 

My BSc Marketing and Design degree allowed me to explore topics such as visualisation, strategy, research and behaviour. Together, each module developed my intuition, a keen sense of aesthetics and an ability to ideate efficiently. Following this, I made sure my progress wasn’t impacted by the pandemic. Through signing up to M&C Saatchi’s Open House programme and working as a freelance branding strategist, I learnt how to manage a client relationship, the best ways to create compelling stories as well as gain new insight into presenting ideas with maturity and confidence. 

 

I then initially secured a role as a graduate apprentice at Assemble Media Group, an independent publishing and events business for the built environment. This is where I’ve really pushed on.  Since joining, I’ve undertaken a variety of projects and responsibilities including: an extensive redesign of Assemble’s assortment of events and brand identities, written and edited both internal and external corporare communications initiatives, plus, managed, organised and visualised various sets of data. My recent promotion to a Senior Marketing and Communications executive has given me even more opportunities to thrive. I’ve been leading projects to transform the way Assemble’s brands market themselves and communicate with potential and current stakeholders.  This has included brand verticals, product/service launches, brand positioning projects and editorial campaigns.

 

I am eager to contribute my abilities in a brand/communications/creative strategist role.

Assemble Media Group

Senior marketing and communications executive

Assemble is an independent B2B publishing and events business, producing news, intelligence, thought leadership, educative material and networking opportunities for professionals and companies striving to impact the built environment. Clients include organisations working in energy, sustainability, consultancy, PR/communications, design, architecture, governmental departments and contractors.  I’m part of the commercial team, producing content and contributing to our communications/brand strategy through creative, writing, planning and project management

Freelance

Conducted freelance marketing work for a street food vendor based in Leeds with colleagues I had met at Lancaster University. We helped facilitate a vegan rebrand as a team with the aim of improving branding, storytelling and planning.

Programme started with an 8 week course on the ad industry with several tasks assigned throughout before having the chance to apply for the pitching task, in which 70 people were selected:

-split into 10 teams with 1 week to generate a campaign
-the brief was to encourage contract switching to O2 in Q4 and primarily target the Gen Z demographic.
-pitched to senior management from M&C Saatchi and O2.
-our team had the winning pitch idea.
